Arik Kastan: 11 Favorite Pieces

Ever since I bought myself an Arik Kastan three-moonstone ring for Christmas a couple years ago from Twist, I’ve become a BIG fan of this vintage-inspired line. When Tamar Kelman, the creative director of the line, had a trunk show in Marin a year or so ago, another ring just maaay have gone home with me. Just maybe.

Arik Kastan is a jewlery designer based in Tel Aviv, and he utilizes old world jewelry making techniques. Β From sketch to finish, all work is done by hand, even the links on the necklaces! Tamar told me, “There’s a heartbeat to every piece.” Well-known for his particular alloys of rose gold and yellow gold, his work is inspired by the Victorian era, Art Deco, as well as old Arabic and European architecture. I want to share 11 of my fave pieces from this delectable collection with you…

  1. You had me on the cigar ring right away!! But I wouldn’t mind the cocktail ring with labradorite. Yeah, all lovelies ?

  2. Amazing pieces and yes, I do understand why you are such a fan!! I love the cobblestone ring and the Needlepoint drop earrings. They are all lovely though.

  3. I never would have thought turquoise and sapphires could look so perfect together! And that cocktail ring is to die for.

    1. I love seeing colors that are close to each other on the color wheel (blue/green/purple and red/orange/yellow) next to each other. They are combinations that aren’t quite as common, yet they are just gorgeous!!

  4. Lovely. I first heard of Arik Kastan via the Gem Gossip blog. There really does seem to be emotion in each piece. One day . . . I love how he uses labradorite, one of my favorite stones.

      1. I think Danielle has done a few giveaways with him. But the contests involve things like tagging and swiping and i don’t know what that means! I’m very old school.

        1. The world of social media can certainly be an overwhelming prospect. Happy to help you get up and running on Instagram so you can enter giveaways! πŸ™‚

          1. I might take you up on that offer! I can see other people’s instagram accounts but can’t reply, etc. I saw a lovely pix of your mom with richard dreyfus – she looks more like your sister!
